In the coming years, the main trends in the development of automation technology in the textile machinery industry include an increase in the use of controllers, a more widespread use of multiple drives, and an increase in the use of fieldbus.

The use of controllers will increase. Controller based on embedded products has the advantages of strong computing power and convenient communication compared to PLC, and has the advantage of low cost when used in large quantities. The control requirements for textile machinery are relatively simple, with a large number of applications, making it very suitable for developing controllers. Currently, controllers are used in weaving machines, knitting, and some dyeing and finishing equipment.

The use of multiple transmissions is more common. Compared to the method of relatively centralized driving and then transmitting and distributing power through mechanical mechanisms, multi transmission of kinetic energy reduces the complexity of the equipment, improves driving efficiency, facilitates process adjustment, reduces maintenance, and shortens the design and development cycle of new equipment. At present, various chemical fiber machinery such as roving frames, spinning frames, and winding machines have already used multi transmission technology. Field bus technology and common DC bus technology make multi transmission more advantageous. Cost is a key factor limiting the widespread use of multi drive products, and the gradual reduction in drive prices will encourage more users to try multi drive products.

The use of fieldbus has increased. Some textile machinery consists of multiple closely related processes, and using fieldbus to coordinate each process can improve production efficiency. At present, fieldbus is being used in short fiber, dyeing and finishing production lines, and some large machines.
